On Her Way to Regionals

June 3, 2011

CFCV’s Chelsea F. is heading to Regionals to claim her spot to move on to compete for the World’s Fittest Female at the 2011 Crossfit Games.  June 10-12, Chelsea will join Gil and Team CFCV at the Southwest Regional Qualfier in Aurora, Colorado, to compete for one of the top 3 Female Spots to move on to the Games.

Chelsea placed 51st in the Southwest Region and 514th Worldwide in the Crossfit Open Sectionals.  “Slightly obsessed” with Crossfit, Chelsea has been training hard this Games Season beginning with an impressive showing at the local 2011  Fitness Elevated competition.  She has been a regular fixture at CFCV for over 2 years, and completed her Level 1 Certification in August of 2010.  Chelsea got her first taste of the Crossfit Competition scene at 2010’s Fitness Elevatedand has had the Crossfit Games stars in her eyes ever since.

You will find Chelsea at the Box most days spending time with her CFCV YouthFit, running the adult classes and working on her Regionals training.  A dedicated mother of four, Chelsea can also be spotted watching her kids play sports and spending time with her family camping, skiing and enjoying other activities together.

Having reached her Crossfit goals of conquering “real” double-unders and  learning butterfly pullups, there is no doubt Chelsea’s Road to the Regionals leads to a strong finish.

Go get em, Chels!

The Southwest Regionals will be epic. Check out more details about the event here. And stay tuned for more information on CFCV’s competition members on their road to the Regionals.
